In a glittering ceremony on 22nd May 2010, our first Miss African Spirit was crowned.
14 contestants representing several different countries competed against each other for the crown. Eventual winner, after answering the on-stage question was Zimbabwean Nonhlanhla Togwe.
The show was attended by 180+ people including media, and our 6 judges included previous pageant winners and a very well known ethnic model agency director. Several exhibitors displayed their products to our attendees, and performers included Flaunt Dance crew and motown singer Glenroy.
It was a fantastic night, and we are looking forward to doing it again for 2011.
