We held our talent contest on Sunday 3rd April, 2011, at the Ramada Encore Hotel in Milton Keynes!  Approximately half of the signed up acts turned up, and we had an entertertaining 2 hour show which started at around 2:20pm.  After 2 rounds of performances, our judges found 3 acts to have reached the highest scores.  Congratulations to Lydia Singer on taking 1st place, Bradley Gasgoyne on taking 2nd Place, and Simmy for taking 3rd place!

In order to find a quality act for our pageant event on 25th June, we hosted a small talent contest in Milton Keynes on Sunday, 3rd April 2011.  Entry was open to anyone – any gender, any nationality, any colour, any creed, any genre – and this resulted in varied acts taking part – from ages 7 – 55!

One main reason for holding this contest was to raise awareness of, and funds for, our beneficiaries.  Several of the acts who turned up on the day were explicit when I spoke to them, saying their intention was to support the charitable effort, and to offer their talent as a way to make a difference to someone else.

The prizes offered were as follows :

  • 1st Place
    • £100 cash
    • paid performance at our pagent on 25th June
    • various PR opportunities – profile on this website, press releases, possible local and national exposure, profile in our pageant magazine
  • 2nd Place
    • £50 cash
  • 3rd Place
    • £25 cash
